Measuring thermal conductivity

Thermal conductivity is measured in W/m•K (watts per meter-kelvin). The bigger the number, the better the material is at conducting heat. Materials with high thermal conductivity are often used to make heat sinks, while those that transfer heat slowly act as great insulators (绝缘体).
